Sumter Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Dec 9, 2025

It’s no secret that Jeep has always been synonymous with adventure, capability, and a rugged spirit.

Now, Jeep is taking everything you love about off-road exploration and charging it up—literally.

The 2026 Jeep Recon is here, and it’s redefining what an electric SUV can do. As the only fully electric Trail Rated® SUV on the market, the Recon delivers 650 horsepower, 620 lb.-ft. of instant torque, and up to 250 miles of all-electric range, all while maintaining the removable doors and open-air freedom that have made Jeep legendary.

Whether you’re a trail enthusiast or simply want an EV that can handle more than just your daily commute, the Recon deserves a closer look.

The all-new, all-electric, Trail Rated 2026 Jeep® Recon.

Exterior Style & Power

From every angle, the Recon is unmistakably Jeep. Blending classic elements with modern EV sophistication, the Recon marks the start of a new era for the brand.

Up front, the legendary seven-slot grille gets a modern update with illuminated rings that give the Recon a distinctive presence on the road and trail. You’ll have exceptional visibility thanks to the U-shaped daytime running lights and premium LED lighting throughout. Large glass areas wrap around the cabin, giving you excellent sightlines whether you’re navigating tight trails or busy streets.

If you’re an open-air enthusiast, you’ll appreciate having the choice between a dual-pane sunroof or the Sky One-Touch powertop that brings top-down freedom with just the press of a button. Gloss Black accents provide striking visual contrast, and you can opt for an available black roof to add an extra layer of style.

The rear of the Recon pays homage to Jeep’s most iconic model with Wrangler-inspired LED taillamps, a functional swing gate, and a full-size spare tire mounted on the back.

If you’re looking for a trail-ready SUV, opt for the Moab trim. This model takes the exterior to the next level with additional Gloss Black elements, a Rock driving mode, protective rock rails for serious off-road duty, and special Jeep badges.

When it comes to colors, you’ll have nine to choose from:

  • ’41 (olive green)
  • Copper Shino
  • Ceramic Gray
  • Red Hot
  • Silver Zynith
  • Hydro Blue
  • Bright White
  • Diamond Black
  • Joose (electric tangerine orange)

Jeep Recon Interior & Tech: Is the Recon Good for Daily Driving?

The 2026 Jeep Recon’s interior proves that rugged capability and everyday practicality can coexist.

The cabin provides modern utility with a clean, purposeful layout featuring a horizontal dash and a sturdy grab handle. Durable vortex-textured surfaces stand up to scuffs and wear from trail gear or daily life, while a clever modular accessory rail lets you mount cameras, navigation devices, or even a duck holder for those in on the Jeep duck tradition. If you’re sustainability-minded, you’ll appreciate that Jeep used recycled materials throughout, including the Capri synthetic non-leather finish on seats, console, doors, and dash, as well as in the headliner and carpets.

The Moab trim takes the interior style even further with a Joshua Tree tan interior inspired by the national park, blending earthy tones with premium materials for a design that always feels connected to the outdoors.

Storage is where the Recon really shines. The Jeep Recon features a two-tier center console that offers wireless charging in the upper area and enough room below for tablets, purses, or larger items you need nearby. In addition, modular door panels feature removable elastic straps that are perfect for carrying everything from water bottles to tools. When you need serious cargo capacity, the Recon delivers up to 65.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded, plus a 3.0 cubic foot frunk (front trunk) that’s perfect for a carry-on suitcase.

When it comes to tech, the Recon is the only EV in its segment with a standard premium Alpine audio system. If that wasn’t special enough, Jeep placed the speakers under the seats rather than in the doors, so your sound quality doesn’t disappear when you remove the doors for open-air driving. They want to make sure that no matter how you drive your Jeep, you’re getting the best experience possible.

Pricing, Value & Final Verdict: Is the 2026 Jeep Recon Worth Buying?

The Jeep Recon EV price is set to start around $65,000, making it a mid-range option.
