2024 Dodge Hornet Engine Specs  

Unlike the 2023 Hornet model, which featured only a single powertrain option, the 2024 Dodge Hornet introduces a second choice that enhances performance even further than the already remarkable base engine.

For 2024, the two available powertrains include the 2.0-liter Hurricane4 Turbo engine for GT models and the brand-new turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine combined with a rear-mounted electric motor for R/T models.

Dodge Hornet GT Engine  

The 2.0-liter Hurricane4 Turbo Engine makes the 2024 Hornet GT the fastest CUV in the segment. Reaching speeds up to 140 mph, the all-new Hornet blasts off from zero to 60 mph in only 6.5 seconds. 

This impressive turbo engine generates plenty of power under the hood – pushing out 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, featuring a nine-speed automatic suspension with standard all-wheel drive. 

You can enhance your performance even more in the Hornet GT model with the sport mode setting which sharpens the throttle response and gearshifts. The Hornet GT is also outfitted with performance enhancing features, like Koni FSD shock absorbers, Dynamic Torque Vectoring, and sport suspension.

Dodge Hornet R/T PHEV Engine 

The Dodge Hornet R/T PHEV offers top-of-the line performance with its turbocharged 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine, which features a rear-mounted electric motor, all-wheel drive, and a six-speed automatic transmission. This setup makes the 2024 Hornet R/T  the most powerful PHEV CUV in its class.

Its electrified performance gets up to a top speed of 128 MPH, reaching up to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds with up to 383 lb-ft of torque. In addition to power, you can enjoy 32
